Copernicus Programme. A new opportunity for the enhanced Italian-Polish cooperation

Yesterday, November 24, the National Academy of San Luca in Rome hosted a roundtable discussion on the European Earth observation programme Copernicus. The event, entitled "Copernicus Programme. A new opportunity for the enhanced Italian-Polish cooperation ", was organized by the Embassy of Poland in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency, the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN-CBK) and the same Academy of San Luca.

The round table that began at 15:30 was preceded by a short session of institutional greetings with the participation of President of ASI Roberto Battiston.
The opening was attended by the Polish Ambassador Tomasz Orlowski, President of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) Marek Banaszkiewicz and Carlo Maria Medal representing the Italian Ministry of Environment.
The scientific debate has involved representatives of ASI, the Polish Academy of Sciences, ESA, University of Rome "La Sapienza" and ISPRA.
